What is NLP?
Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is a psychological approach that involves questioning your existing strategies, thoughts and behaviours and make them more helpful to reach your personal goal.
It relates thoughts, language, and patterns of behaviour learned through experiences and is extremely popular in the self-help, therapy, sports, education, coaching, performance and corporate worlds. In fact it is used in so many areas of life that it would probably easier to list where it isn’t used!
Neuro-linguistic programming causes change by improving the understanding of your cognitive and behavioural patterns. It also builds more effective communications between conscious and unconscious mental processes. NLP works on the principle that everyone has all the resources they need to make positive changes in their own life.
A NLP coach is someone who helps you identify your goals and develop an actionable plan to achieve them. Coaching may sound like a foreign concept to some, but to be your best you, you need the experience, enthusiastic support, objective perspective and insight of a coach.
